Marketing & Design Generalist

Yes TV is looking for an experienced Marketing Generalist who is highly creative and passionate about our brand and the opportunity to work in a broadcast environment, supporting commercial sales and station promotions. The selected candidate will possess strong graphic design skills which will be a focus of this position.

Purpose

This position exists to support commercial revenue generation and influence viewer engagement and therefore station growth, through the creation of strong visual design for print, digital and social media platforms.

Reporting

Reports directly to the Marketing Director with functional relationships with Producers, and Sales Department.

Areas of Responsibility

Development and creation of visual and written marketing and sales support assets.

Job Specific Duties

Creation of promotional, web and social media graphics
Graphic design for external advertising, print advertising and client creative
Moderate and update social media channels to encourage conversation and engagement
Engage with audiences through social media channels
Ensure brand guidelines are met in social media posts
Oversee social media contest fulfillment, as they relate to promotional contracts and initiatives
Create content for social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram which best represent the tone of YES TV and the programs being aired
Other duties as required

Qualifications And Skills

Degree or Diploma or relevant and proven industry experience in Design or Marketing
Strong Command of Adobe Creative Suite Programs: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere
Working knowledge of web design (HTML and CSS)
Solid understanding of print and web graphic specifications
Solid understanding of video editing and production
Proven demonstration of understanding and knowledge of design theory, including layout composition, digital photo manipulation, typography, and vector graphics
An eye for design
